Supporting kaiako, kaiāwhina and kura to strengthen inclusive and culturally grounded practice
Kanorau Consultancy is pleased to be working alongside kura Māori across the Bay of Plenty to deliver a takiwātanga professional learning and development wānanga for Māori medium education settings.
This kaupapa has been designed in response to growing requests from kura seeking practical, culturally grounded support to strengthen confidence and capability when working alongside tamariki with diverse learning, sensory, communication and regulation needs.
The wānanga will support kaiako, teacher aides and kura staff to deepen their understanding of takiwātanga through a te ao Māori and neuro-affirming lens, while also providing practical strategies that can be implemented within kura environments immediately.

What will the wānanga focus on?
The wānanga will provide practical and reflective learning opportunities focused on:

The delivery is intended to create practical, real-life learning that kaiako and kura staff can apply immediately within their own environments.
Is there a cost to attend?
No. The wānanga are funded through Ministry of Education.
Are both days of the wānanga going to be the same?
Yes both days will deliver the same content so please only register to attend one day.
