What is it?

The New Zealand Disability Strategy is the Government’s long-term plan to create a more inclusive Aotearoa, setting priorities for how disabled people and tāngata whaikaha Māori can fully participate in every part of life.

You can learn more about the draft strategy by clicking here.

Why your input matters

The NZ Disability Strategy is important because it will set the direction for disability across government for the next five years.

It will include a set of actions to help improve the lives of whānau hauā in the areas of:

•        education

•        employment

•        health

•        housing

•        justice.

Who can attend?

This hui is open to all — tāngata whaikaha, whānau, allies, and anyone who wants to contribute their voice. It is important you attend, we wanted to ensure your voices are captured!

What to expect

A supportive space for open kōrero about the draft Disability Strategy — sharing experiences, asking hard questions, and exploring what it means for our community.

Can’t Make It?
